For as long as Laura can remember, she has been interested in design. Before working at Sauder Furniture, Laura always found creative outlets such as knitting, painting, and floral design. “I can’t think of a time I didn’t always love it!” However, it wasn’t until she decided to look for a job in design that she found Sauder Furniture and realized her designing potential.
After working at Sauder Furniture for a year and a half, Laura is still passionate about design and loves exceeding her client’s expectations. When first meeting with a client, Laura’s goal it to get to know them, really understand who they are, and find out how their home is currently functioning. From there Laura can start designing something unique to meet each client’s needs.
When asked why she enjoys working at Sauder Furniture, Laura replied, “I finally get to use my talents and have a creative outlet.” Additionally, Laura enjoys the small town, family feel at Sauder Furniture. “I have tremendous coworkers and that’s huge.” Since Sauder Furniture is a local fixture in the community, Laura has been able to help the recent tornado victims. Laura feels honored to help her neighbors and community rebuild.

Fast Facts about Laura: • Laura lives in Metamora, IL with her husband Phil. • Laura enjoys gardening, quilting, and painting in her free time. • Laura has two children, Beth and Brian, and a nine month old granddaughter, Olivia.
