I am intrigued by the latest use of small spaces. From the popular craze of man-caves, small den-like spaces used to watch sporting events, display memorabilia, and do manly things, comes the newest phenomenon; the She Shed. This is the use of an outdoor shed that is completely decked out in all things feminine and most often decorated in a shabby-chic or cottage style. Some boast crystal chandeliers while others are filled with dainty floral china. The concept is the same, a space for women to “get away” from daily stress. Take a visual journey with me and imagine how you would use these spaces; losing yourself in a book, enjoying a cup of tea and quiet time, or perhaps sneaking a nap.
