F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote, “Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” As the leaves turn and the days start getting cool there is a sense of starting something new. There is always a refreshing change of pace that accompanies the fall; sweaters and scarves get pulled to the front of the closet and there is a never ending array of pumpkin and apple flavored goodies. With all of this change in the air I wanted to get our designers’ take on what new ideas they expect to see in the coming months. Neutrals are still important, but they will be getting a facelift with texture, colors, and shine.

1. To contrast the drive for the natural, rustic look, glam pieces are beginning to pop up to add some sparkle.

2. Pastels are going to be big next year. With a dominating palette of neutrals, pastels are being added to give a little color to a monochromatic theme.

3. Soft textural fabrics on sofas, beds, and drapes give added dimension and richness to a room.
